mindful doula provides information and care with non-judgment and compassion.
The goal being the most optimal birth as a woman and her family defines it. When
a doula is present some women may feel less need for pain medications for coping
with labor, or may choose to put them off until later. However, many women need
or choose pharmocological pain relief. In fact, doulas can help maximize the benefits
of pharmocological pain relief while minimizing the side effects. Attending women
with awareness and compassion, a doula will not disourage a woman from making
her own best choices. A doula helps families become informed about their various
options for intervention along with the risks and benefits.
Our first consultation/visit
is free of charge with no obligation. Each consultation lasts around 2 hours which
allows you time to get to know me and answer any questions you have in order to
feel confident and secure in my role. You can then decide whether or not you would
like to hire me as your doula. I can also refer you to other doulas in the area
if you feel that you would rather have a doula with different philosophies or
experience.
In order to provide the most holistic care according to your individual needs,
my services include the following:

My fee is $650 which includes

believe that *all women* deserve unconditional support
during their pregnancy,
labor, and birth; therefore,
my fee is flexible under special circumstances.
